Immune cocktail
Immune Cocktail — Formulation and Clinical Notes
Composition per administration
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): 5,000 mg (IV)
Zinc: 7.5 mg
Vitamin D (cholecalciferol or ergocalciferol): 10,000 IU (injectable)
Glutathione: 1,000 mg (IV, reduced form)
Intended effects
Vitamin C 5,000 mg: potent antioxidant support, promotes leukocyte function, may reduce duration and severity of acute viral illnesses when administered early; supports collagen synthesis and vascular health.
Zinc 7.5 mg: supports innate and adaptive immune responses, important for antiviral defense and mucosal barrier integrity.
Vitamin D 10,000 IU: supports innate immunity and modulates inflammatory responses; used for rapid repletion in deficient patients (single-dose therapy or short-course regimen).
Glutathione 1,000 mg: powerful intracellular antioxidant, supports detoxification pathways, may help modulate oxidative stress and restore redox balance in immune cells.
Clinical considerations and safety
Indications: adjunctive immune support for patients with acute viral symptoms, recurrent infections, or for immune optimization when clinically appropriate. Should be administered by qualified medical personnel after evaluation.
Screening and contraindications:
Confirm no known hypersensitivity to any component.
Check baseline renal function for high-dose vitamin C due to oxalate risk in patients with renal impairment or history of nephrolithiasis.
Assess for iron overload disorders (e.g., hemochromatosis) before high-dose vitamin C.
Screen for hypercalcemia or other contraindications prior to high-dose vitamin D; consider baseline 25(OH)D and calcium levels if planning repeated
